Client

A luxury skincare accessory brand transitioning off a third-party reseller on Amazon and preparing for international launch.

Business Challenge

This luxury brand wanted to grow on its own terms, in its own Amazon account, rather than depend on a reseller to drive sales and control its destiny. At the outset, 500+ unauthorized offers and multiple counterfeit listings were live on the account, a clear sign the reseller lacked the skillset and toolbox to manage the marketplace. Buy Box ownership stood at just 42%.

Goal

Transition sales from the reseller to the brand’s own account while growing globally and protecting the marketplace from emerging resellers.

Approach

Market Defense removed 500+ unauthorized offers and identified counterfeit sources, enrolling 150+ ASINs in counterfeit protection programs across 5 countries within 100 days. A strong branded storefront was built. The brand then launched into 7 countries, including the US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands, with manually translated titles and bullets across EU marketplaces (not auto-translation) and backend keywords implemented in local languages.

Results

  • 7% month-over-month sales growth, compared to a 6% industry year-over-year average
  • 302% month-over-month growth during the December holiday period
  • 20% of total sales now come from the branded storefront
  • Buy Box ownership grew from 42% to 95%+
  • In-stock rate reached 99.15%; SKUs maintained at 99%+ in-stock convert 1.5 to 2 times better than those at 90 to 95%
  • Secured FBA storage increases for tentpole events
  • 2026 revenue is forecasted at 2x 2025 revenue
  • Quarter-over-quarter growth: 27% in Q1, 66% in Q2
